So Quiet, It's Loud

On quiet nights, it's noisy in my head -

Screams, whispers, murmurs, there's no end.

Is it loud because it is quiet,

Or is it quiet so I can hear how loud it gets?

I wish to scream too -

I've been there, I've done that.

But only a murmur escapes my lips -

Wish I hadn't been there, wish I hadn't done that.
